CS 355 - Systems Programming Lab 9 - using timers and curses
Objective: write a program that utilizes a timer to create a marquee display.
- Write a C program marquee that uses the curses library to create a side-scrolling display to show the contents of a text file.
- The text will continue to scroll until the user presses Ctrl-D, at which time the program will clear up the screen and terminate.
- marquee can be used as follows:
$ marquee file_name length row col speed
file_name specifies the name of file whose contents are displayed on the screen;
length is the length of the text window (always 1 row tall);
row and col specify the location of the text window;
speed can range from 1 to 99 and indicates how fast the text is scrolling.
- A single C source code file with your work.
- A screenshot (in PNG or JPG format) showing the output of marquee.
